I grew up wanting and dreaming of being a musician- Exclusive interview with Ghanaian/Nollywood Actress- Juliet Ibrahim

When you talk about someone who's got beauty, talent, brain and swag it's Juliet Ibrahim. This cheerful down to earth Actress speaks Exclusively to Nollywoodcycletv in an interview about her new movie and lot more...

NWC: When did you realize that acting was coded into your DNA, and you needed the world to know that?

JULIET: I grew up wanting and dreaming of being a musician, I really didn't see acting as part of my dreams back when I was a child. I did a few play-lets whilst in Junior and senior high school but I was always the shy type so I never used to like acting. I preferred singing simply because  I would wear dark shades on stage and sing without having to look into anyone's eyes. lol

NWC: What was your first experience on set like, and what movie was that?

JULIET: My first movie was Crime to Christ. But the first official acting I did was in a TV series that never came out till date. It went quite well. I had to fight away my shyness and play a young mother and wife in the series. Acting in the series prepared me for the bigger picture because it was a great experience.

NWC: How is the Juliet Ibrahim foundation going, are you getting the kind of support you need?

JULIET: We have been doing pretty well on our own and with the help of my fans, colleagues and the media. we do not get any help from any corporate bodies but there have been a few individuals who have helped the patients in their own little way. however, JIF is seriously seeking major sponsors, partners and donors who can help us save these people. I know there are several people out there who can afford to pay these people's treatments and surgeries in the blink of an eye. It's very possible but I am sure in God's own time their hearts will be touched.

NWC: Recently, you produced a movie titled "The number one fan"  is it your first attempt as a producer, and what is it like being in the producer's chair? Any challenges?

JULIET: I have actually written several stories and been wanting to produce since 2009. ''Number one fan" is my first production that became successful and it wasn't an easy experience. I played the lead and I was the producer and executive producer. I had never been stressed in my life like I was on that set (lol). But the entire experience was fun and I loved every bit of it and I can't wait to share it with my fans.
I gave the opportunity to some new actors to shine and also spiced it up with several celebrities as well as cameo appearances. the movie features; Yemi Blaq, Ay the comedian, Prince David Osei, Kofi Adjorlolo, Eddie Nartey, Zainab Sheriff(BBA fame), Keitta Ossei(BBA fame),KC Ejelonu, Sonia Ibrahim,Narsh Smith,Emmanuel V. Mensah, Magid Michel (cameo), Sandra Ankobiah(Cameo),Deborah Vanessa(cameo),Ameyaw Debrah(cameo) and so many more. The movie will be premiered sometime in June.

NWC: In one word what is the new film about?

JULIET: Fame (in the sense that, when one has fame; a whole lot comes with being famous.)

NWC: Are there any mistakes you made during production that you wouldn't make the next time around?

JULIET: The mistakes will be some crew members I hired to work with, definitely will be changing them next time around. lol . I believe everything else went very well besides that.

NWC: What's the hardest part of being a celebrity?

JULIET: Making sure you keep doing things to win the hearts of those who look up to you and not hurting them. As well as not having any privacy at all.

NWC: What's the worst thing a fan has ever done to you?

JULIET: I don't recall anything bad or worse any of my fans has done to me. My fans are so cool and wonderful to me. If you are asking about those who are not my fans then that's a different story. those will be countless. But what I don't understand is why will such people hate you when they don't even know you, or their opinion is not ever going to change your life? I don't get it at all.(lol)

NWC: What are the five things you can't live without?

JULIET: Eyeliner, phone, money, food, sweets.

NWC: If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title should be?

JULIET: The life of Juliet Ibrahim- "A story that had to be told".
